Civic Engagement

The 40 Below Civic Engagement Task Force (CETF) aims to keep young professionals and community members in Central New York educated on timely issues and engaged in their communities. CETF has built relationships with a wide range of non-profit and government organizations in Central New York to connect members with educational programming, volunteer opportunities and opportunities for leadership.

At monthly meetings, CETF regularly hosts speakers from local area non-profits. Past speakers include representatives from WCNY, Empire State Development Corporation and Say Yes to Education. Through their board initiative, the Task Force has placed over 250 young professionals in leadership positions with area non-profits. Through close relationships with government, non-profits organizations and educational programs, the Civic Engagement Task Force offers 40 Below members a way to stay connected, informed and influential in their communities.
